You couldn’t make it up: an example from Poland of how catholic superstition puts people off a perfectly good cheese! (It’s in today’s ‘Metro’ so it must be true!) Lidl, in all innocence, put the goat’s cheese in their stores in Poland on sale with a price tag of 6.66 zlotys per packet, and to make matters worse they used that other well known satanic symbol – the goats head– on the package! What were they thinking of? Surely they didn’t expect anyone to buy it then! They said the price was chosen at random. It says something that they should even think it necessary to explain their actions.
Wish I had a photo.
